The Omicron Beta Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated was chartered November 2, 1990, by Dr. Nell Williams-Ingram who was West Texas State Director at that time.  The Chapter was chartered by Zeta alumni members who saw the need to bring the Sorority's mission and programs to Arlington, Texas. The chapter has been active in Arlington, Grand Prairie and surrounding areas since its establishment and partners with numerous local agencies to provide community service, philanthropic giving and outreach services.

Membership in Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated is by invitation only. Z-HOPE

Z-HOPE, or Zetas Helping Other People Excel, is an interactive holistic multidimensional outreach program designed to enhance, cultivate and empower participants to develop health-promoting lifestyle choices across the lifespan. Z-HOPE is specific to the population groups, Women, Youth, Seniors, Men, and International Women of Color. Each year the Omicron Beta Zeta Chapter host Z-HOPE events in conjunction with local schools, churches and community organizations. Our goal is to positively impact as many underserved populations as possible and bring awareness to social, health and wellness issues.

Scholarships

The Omicron Beta Zeta Chapter awards scholarships and scholastic achievement awards to deserving students. Each year our scholarship committee selects the honorees based on their applications, scholastic achievements, community service, and other criteria.  

Annual Events

Our chapter hosts annual events for all to enjoy.

Omicron Beta Zeta Finer Womanhood Scholarship and Scholastic Achievement Award Celebration focuses on two of the principles of our wonderful organization, Scholarship and Finer Womanhood.  Scholarships and Scholastic Achievement awards are given to selected students, in addition, women from the community and our organization are recognized for being "Finer Women" in leadership, service, social action, education and etc.  Everyone is invited.

Arlington Blue and White Crawfish Boil and Fish Fry Scholarship Fundraiser - This event serves some of the best crawfish and catfish in the area in an effort to raise funds for scholarships.  It usually takes place in May (1st Saturday) and is filled with food, fun, fellowship, music, dancing, and vendors.  Everyone is invited.
